Khaled Abdulla Al Qubaisi

Khaled Abdulla Al Qubaisi, Chairman

Khaled Abdulla Al Qubaisi is the Chief Executive Officer, Aerospace, Renewables & Information Communications Technology (ICT) for Mubadala. He has oversight of the company’s aerospace, renewables, ICT, utilities and defense services portfolio. Before joining Mubadala, Khaled worked as Chief Investment Officer at International Capital and was the Head of Corporate Finance & Business Development at the National Bank of Abu Dhabi, where he focused on developing the bank’s investment banking capabilities. He is a Board Member of Abu Dhabi Future Energy Company (Masdar), Mubadala Petroleum, Emirates Global Aluminium and GLOBALFOUNDRIES. He has a Bachelor of Arts in Finance and Operations Management from Boston University, a Master of Science from George Washington University and is a Chartered Financial Analyst Institute (CFA) member.


Ahmed Saeed Al Calily

Ahmed Saeed Al Calily, Vice Chairman

Ahmed Saeed Al Calily is the Chief Strategy & Risk Officer (CSRO) at Mubadala Investment Company, responsible for the company’s corporate strategy and risk framework. He is also a member of the company’s Investment and Management Committees. Prior to his appointment as CSRO, Ahmed was the CEO, Energy at Mubadala Development Company where he oversaw the company’s energy assets in addition to being a member of the Investment Committee. Ahmed was also the Director General of the Abu Dhabi Technology Development Committee where his main responsibility was to support the development of Science, Technology and Innovation in Abu Dhabi, through various strategic initiatives as well as through the effective coordination between various government stakeholders. Prior to his appointment to the Abu Dhabi Technology Development Committee, Ahmed was the CEO & Managing Director of the Abu Dhabi Ports Company, where he played an instrumental role in the development of Khalifa Port. Ahmed’s diverse professional experience includes several leadership positions as well as board positions on various companies. Ahmed holds a Bachelor’s degree in Economics and Political Science from Boston University.


Ahmed Yahia Al Idrissi

Ahmed Yahia Al Idrissi, Board Member

Ahmed is the Chief Executive Officer, Technology & Industry, with oversight of Mubadala’s semiconductors, metals, mining, and utilities portfolios. He also co-leads a number of corporate efforts across the Mubadala portfolio, including: Enterprise Risk Management, Asset Management/Value Creation, and Learning & Development. Ahmed is also a member of Mubadala’s Investment Committee. The committee is mandated to develop the organization’s investment policies, establish investment guidelines and review all proposed projects and investments to ensure they are in line with Mubadala’s business objectives. Prior to joining Mubadala, Ahmed was a Partner of McKinsey & Company co-leading the Principal Investor practice. He was also the Managing Partner of McKinsey’s Abu Dhabi practice. Board Positions: Director of GlobalFoundries, Emirates Global Aluminium (EGA), Mubadala Petroleum, Abu Dhabi Future Energy Company (Masdar), National Central Cooling Company (Tabreed), Advanced Micro Devices (AMD) and TM Mining Ventures (MATSA). Ahmed holds a Masters of Science degree from MIT in Mechanical Engineering/Product Strategy and an Engineer’s degree in Industrial Engineering from the Ecole Centrale Paris, both with highest honors. While at MIT, he received the J. W. F. Foreign Scholarship Board award for academic excellence.


Mohammed Al Huraimel Al Shamsi

Mohammed Al Huraimel Al Shamsi, Board Member

Mohammed Al Huraimel Al Shamsi is the Director of Utilities Investments in Mubadala Investments Company, where he is responsible for the Utilities investments portfolio, which includes thermal power and district cooling assets. Prior to Mubadala, Mohammed has been the Director of Strategy & Policy at the UAE Prime Minister’s Office and as a strategy consultant at McKinsey & Company. He holds MBA from the HEC School of Management – Paris, France, and a Bachelor’s Degree in Finance from the American University of Sharjah, UAE.


H.E. Dr. Ahmad Belhoul Al Falasi

H.E. Dr. Ahmad Belhoul Al Falasi, Board Member

His Excellency Dr. Ahmad Belhoul is the Minister of State for Higher Education in February 2016. In this position, H.E. supervises the development of higher education and scientific research in the UAE. In addition, H.E. overseas universities operating in the UAE, the implementation of higher education policies as well as ensuring the delivery of high-quality tertiary education that aligns with labor market requirements. H.E. Dr. Ahmad Belhoul previously held the position of Chief Executive Officer at Masdar, leading the company’s strategic growth and development within the renewable energy and clean technology sector. During this time, H.E. was also a member of the executive committee at Masdar Institute of Science and Technology. H.E. was formerly Vice President, Industry Unit of Mubadala Development Company, where he led a team responsible for negotiating partnerships with multinational organizations to increase foreign direct investment in the UAE. H.E. Dr. Ahmad Belhoul has a Ph.D. from Sir John Monash University in Australia, a MSc from the University of Melbourne and a BSc in Telecommunications Engineering from Khalifa University.


Mohamed Jameel Al Ramahi

Mohamed Jameel Al Ramahi, Board Member

Mohamed Jameel Al Ramahi is Masdar’s Chief Executive Officer, where he spearheads the company’s development and strategic direction as it plays a prominent role in the renewable energy and clean technology sector. He joined Masdar in 2008 as Head of Internal Audit and Compliance, where he was responsible for ensuring that the company complied with all regulatory guidelines. He set up the corporate enterprise risk management function, which protects Masdar’s investments. Later, he was appointed Masdar’s Director of corporate services and financial affairs. He was subsequently named Chief Financial Officer, a position in which he managed Masdar’s financial risks and opportunities. He then served as Chief Operating Officer, where he oversaw the company’s daily operations, driving consistent improvement in the company’s bottom line to generate returns for shareholders. Mohamed is a member of Masdar Investment Committee, and has served on the board of a number of prominent companies, joint ventures and special entities, including the Dudgeon Offshore Wind Farm in the UK, the Masdar Solar Wind Cooperative and Torresol Energy. Mohamed earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration and finance from the University of Evansville in the U.S.


Khaled Saleh Al Rashedi

Khaled Saleh Al Rashedi, Board Member

Khaled is the Head of Group Government Affairs and leads Mubadala’s liaison with the Government of Abu Dhabi in addition to senior government officials and regulatory stakeholders in the UAE and abroad. Khaled has been with Mubadala since its establishment in 2002 and has worked extensively in local and international government affairs. He currently sits on a number of committees established by the Abu Dhabi Department of Economic Development and serves as Mubadala’s representative on the UAE International Investors Council. Before joining Group Government Affairs, Khaled served on several special-purpose committees within the Abu Dhabi government and worked as a senior advisor within Mubadala Industry.


Abdul Raouf Al Bitar

Abdul Raouf Al Bitar, Board Member

Abdul Raouf Al Bitar is the Executive Director of Al Manhal & Nestlé Waters Group of Factories in Saudi Arabia, and sits on the board of a number of companies throughout the Middle East including Saudi Tabreed District Cooling Company, Middle East Specialized Cables Factory (MESC), Springs Beverage Factory, Middle East Mold and Plastic Factory, Gulf Insulation Group, Shaker Group, and LG - Shaker Company. Abdul Raouf Al Bitar holds a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from Syracuse University, USA.


Saeed Ali Khalfan Al Dhaheri

Saeed Ali Khalfan Al Dhaheri, Board Member

Saeed Ali Khalfan Al Dhaheri, holds the post of Director of Investments at Ali & Sons Holding LLC, where his current role at Ali & Sons Holding includes active management of the company’s securities portfolio, whilst overseeing the company’s Real estate & hospitality division, as well as Risk management of Ali & Sons and its subsidiaries. Prior to joining Ali & Sons Holding, he was a financial analyst at Abu Dhabi Investment Authority (ADIA). He graduated in 2011, from The American University in Dubai, UAE with a degree in Finance.
